Dear Friends in Christ:
On March 5, 2008, Bishop David A Zubik of the Diocese of Pittsburgh approved the merger of Nativity School and Saint Germaine School, effective for the 2008-2009 school year, and Saint Katharine Drexel Elementary School was born. The union of the two schools is under the direction of Father John Hissrich, Pastor of Nativity Parish, Father John Baver, Pastor of St. Germaine Parish, and our Principal, Ms. Linda Bechtol. St. Katharine Drexel School has the added blessing of being generously nourished spiritually with strong support from both parishes.
